Vacheron Constantin Debuts Two Stunning Additions to Overseas Collection
Luxury watchmakers Vacheron Constantin have announced the creation of not one, but two, additions to the company’s famed Overseas collection. The two new models, The Overseas Perpetual Calendar Chronograph model and the Overseas Chronograph model, are both remarkable pieces featuring the company’s signature meld of technology and beauty. The Overseas collection represents Vacheron Constantin’s dedication to the technical requirements of sport, and both models live up to the collection’s high standards.
The Overseas Perpetual Calendar Chronograph model will feature a 42 mm-diameter casing of 18-carat pink gold, with highly coveted technical specifications including a chronograph and a perpetual calendar. The design includes several nods to Vacheron Constantin’s storied history; the bezel features the company’s Maltese Cross emblem, while the back of the casing features a raised medallion depicting the beautiful three-masted Italian naval ship Amerigo Vespucci. The watch’s mechanical self-winding movement mechanism beats to the rhythm of its 228-part Calibre 1136 QP, which oscillates at the rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour. The Calibre 1136 QP affords the watch a 40- hour power reserve. Two alternate straps will be available for the Overseas Perpetual Calendar Chronograph; either a vulcanized brown rubber strap or a brown alligator leather strap.
As if the first model wasn’t impressive enough, the second model, a remake of the classic Overseas Chronograph design, is also a stunner. This timepiece will feature a 42 mm-diameter casing of steel framing a deep blue dial, while the ship Amerigo Vespucci is again featured on the back of the casing. While the Overseas Chronograph shares many of the details just described on the Overseas Perpetual Calendar Chronograph model, it also has distinctive features. The uniquely supple and comfortable steel bracelet, its links shaped like a half Maltese Cross, identifies this as a true sportsman’s piece. In addition, the watch’s deep blue dial features meticulous finishing, enhanced by luminescent hands and hour-markers which guarantee perfect readability. The watch features a 183-part Calibre 1137 mechanical self-winding chronograph movement, which oscillates at the rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour.
With the addition of these two new timepieces to its Overseas collection, the Geneva-based Vacheron Constantin have renewed their dedication to technical sophistication and aesthetic elegance. For points of sale, visit the Vacheron Constantin website.
