McLaren Unveils The Ultimate McLaren Speedtail Series
McLaren Automotive, the British creator of luxury and high-performance sports cars, has revealed their stunning Ultimate Series McLaren Speedtail. The new sportscar will exceed the 243-mph peak speed of the legendary McLaren F1 and feature a central driving position and two seats on either side. Only 106 Speedtails will be created pricing around $2 million.
One of the innovative ways McLaren is merging art with performance is by offering clients the opportunity to customize their Speedtail with a range of unique finishes for their car’s badge. The well-known badge, which comes in a set of three, will feature the trademark McLaren “Speedmark” logo and will be recreated in handcrafted 18-carat white-gold emblems and carbon-fiber inlays, utilizing the exclusive Thin Ply Technology (TPT). The emblems, which will be on the front and back of the car, are laser-etched with the McLaren hallmark, displaying where and when they were created.
Vaughtons, the manufacturer who is renowned for exceptional quality and craftsmanship in emblems, medals, and badges, has hand-crafted the emblems for the new limited edition Speedtail. The first-time authentic gold was used in their luxury cars was in 1993 with the legendary McLaren F1; which famously used gold foil as a heat shield in the engine compartment.
While this is the first of 18 supercars promised from the company’s master plan, the McLaren Speedtail combines the allure of elegance with an advance sportscar design. The automotive company is continuing to make insurmountable advancements in history in the luxury sports car markets.
