Three Of The World’s Most Expensive GMT Watches

When traveling across the globe, there is nothing quite like having a watch on your wrist that can keep up with it. Measuring time in different time zones simultaneously is something that is not that extraordinary anymore, with nearly every brand offering at least one model that can do this. However, when you travel the world in the comfort of your own private jet, many of these watches simply won’t do. Then you are looking for the best, the most complicated, the most expensive GMT-watches, and these Three might just fit the bill!

Greubel Forsey GMT BlackGreubel Forsey GMT Black
Although best known for their innovative tourbillons, with their GMT-model Greubel Forsey puts the entire world at your fingertips by including a three-dimensional globe. This only serves as a day-night indicator, as the back of the watch shows a far more detailed, and easy to read, world time dial. The case is made of titanium, given a treatment of vacuum deposited ADL (amorphous diamond-like carbon), which makes it harder than natural titanium. To stay true to the spirit of Greubel Forsey, it also includes a 24-second tourbillon inclined at a 25-degree angle. Ironically with a price-tag of $565.000,- the GMT Black is the least expensive version of this watch as the gold one retails for $605.000,- while the platinum version will set you back $630.000,-.

Panerai Radiomir 1940 Minute Repeater Carillon TourbillonPanerai Radiomir 1940 Minute Repeater Carillon Tourbillon GMT
Let’s be honest, Panerai is not the first brand you think of when you think of Grande Complications. This changed with the introduction of the Radiomir 1940 Minute Repeater Carillon Tourbillon. An imposing, complicated watch that stays true to the Panerai DNA, yet combines a tourbillon with a carillon minute repeater and….a GMT-function! And it can also do something no other minute repeater can do: it can chime the time of each of the two time zones it displays! Price starts around $400.000,-, but as Panerai offers extensive customization options for whoever orders this watch, this can turn out higher.

Graff MasterGraff Double TourbillonGraff MasterGraff Double Tourbillon GMT
For those who prefer their GMT watches with diamonds Graff is the brand to look out for. Not only do they master the art of the invisible setting, the cut of their diamonds is simply amazing. That is not all there is to the MasterGraff Double Tourbillon GMT though, as it is also a mechanical delight, with one of the tourbillons serving the main time zone, while the other is connected to the second time zone. The price is POA, which actually says it all!
