Hublot Continues Middle East Expansion with Doha Boutique
Seeking to spread its presence in the Middle East, Swiss watchmaker Hublot inaugurated its boutique in Doha. Located in Doha’s, Qatar, Lagoona Mall, the store is the 12th Hublot boutique in the region. The launch party featured a roster of local celebrities, businessmen and Hublot representatives. Among them were Hublot’s Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa Marco Tedeschi, Ahmed Mahdi Al Majed and Jamil Mahdi Al Majed, chairman and vice president, respectively, of Hublot’s partner Al Majed Group, as well as special guest Ragheb Alama, Lebanese superstar singer and composer who is the first Friend of the Brand from the Middle East.
The throng of high-profile attendees, customers, and collectors enjoyed a private dinner hosted by the Al Majed, where they learned about Hublot’s latest novelties and shared their own watch preferences.
“We are happy and honored to open the first Hublot Boutique in Doha,” said Ahmed Mahdi Al Majed in a press statement on the occasion. “We have seen increasing demand on Hublot watches in Qatar, and along with the brand, we felt the time was right for a stand-alone boutique offering a larger watch collection and a dedicated service to our customers.”
Dedicated to the “Art of Fusion” theme throughout the year, Hublot bears its modern aesthetic of blending and juxtaposing materials and styles in its new boutique. The exquisite vibe of the space oozes from the silver brushed oak floors and upholstered walls of silk, black wood and chrome steel details. Italian hand-made contemporary furniture adds a refined finish to the warm yet lofty atmosphere.
Hublot’s Doha boutique opens some six months after the label cut the ribbon of its store in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. With an address on Al-Sheikh Avenue, home to a slew of luxury brands, this store features the remarkable 300sq. feet, which make it the largest Hublot boutique worldwide.
