Diamond Watches Fit For A Dame

Diamonds on a ladies’ watch are not a necessity, but in most cases, they do add something special. Even when only a few are used, their fire and scintillation make such a watch, especially in certain light conditions, truly stand out. While some diamond set ladies watches take on the mantra, the more, the merrier, others are more restrained in their approach. Here are four of those watches that are truly fit for a dame;

Patek Philippe Chronograph 7150
Patek Philippe Chronograph reference 7150
A bezel set with brilliant-cut, colorless diamonds is all that this Patek Philippe needs. It is equipped with a manual wound chronograph movement, which is by itself a rarity to find in a ladies’ watch. Unique about caliber CH 29-535 is that its subdials, one for the running seconds and the other serving as the minute counter, are placed slightly below the middle. That gives this chronograph a unique character. With a diameter of 38mm is its size spot on. While Patek Philippe only needs 72 diamonds to come full circle on the bezel, it amplifies only further that we are dealing here with an extraordinary creation.

Hublot Orlinski Diamond

Hublot Classic Fusion Orlinski Titanium Alternative Pave
That artists also like to play with diamonds in their creations is proven by Richard Orlinski, who created this special version of the Classic Fusion for Hublot. The asymmetrical diamond setting on the case creates a vibrant visual effect. This watch also shows that it is not only precious metals that go well with diamonds as Hublot used titanium to ‘sculpt’ the case of the Classic Fusion. Combined with the unique dial, is this a watch that gets noticed. No wonder that it is also a contender in the 2019 edition of the GPHG in the ladies’ category.

Richard Mille RM 07-01

Richard Mille RM 07-01
Somebody else who also likes to get creative with diamonds is Richard Mille. While the RM 07-01 has all the hallmarks of his famous sports watches, is there no doubt that it is a genuinely feminine creation. In part, this is thanks to the subtle use of diamonds, which are not only set on the dial but also accentuate the tonneau shape of the case. Setting the diamonds was technically quite challenging, as Mille opted for black ceramic to craft the case from, a material unsuitable to directly secure the diamonds in. The brand solved this by placing the gemstones in red gold prongs and carve a groove in the ceramic case to place them in.

New Rolex Day-Date 36

Rolex Day-Date 36
For Rolex, are diamonds part of their DNA. While the Day-Date 36 is not a ladies’ watch per se, a lot of women are attracted by the model. This might be especially the case with this particular creation, which not only features a bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds but where the Roman numerals are set with these precious stones as well. They are placed upon a dial crafted from pink opal, which makes this watch even more exceptional. The case and President-bracelet are made from white gold. This Day-Date is powered by caliber 3255, which is a reliable automatic movement that utilizes Rolex proprietary Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers, making it the perfect watch for a dame with an active lifestyle.
