IWC Hosts Aquatimer “Inside the Wave” Gala at SIHH

Luxury watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen hosted the hottest event of the week at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie this year. The “Inside the Wave” Gala celebrated the launch of IWC’s new Aquatimer watches. IWC CEO Georges Kern welcomed guests like Kevin Spacey, Susan Sarandon, Ewan McGregor, Karolina Kurkova, Adriana Lima and Mélanie Laurent, as well as celebrity brand ambassadors and F1 superstars Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. Piaget Hosts World Snow Polo Championship

Larry Boland, President of Piaget North America, looked on as top-ranked polo players hit the snow-packed Wagner Park field at the foot of Aspen Mountain for the World Snow Polo Championship. It was an exciting round robin tournament, with Nacho Figueras leading scoring, and brothers Facundo and Gonzalito Pieres and husband and wife duo Marc and Melissa Ganzi facing off on opposing teams. After a snowy day in this picturesque setting Figueras brought home the silver and horn trophy for his Team St. Regis. The event raised $20,000 for Sopris Charity Services and Aspen Sister Cities. Empress Joséphine of France was so passionate about roses, she made it her life’s work to cultivate as many different varieties as possible in her garden.
