Six Top Watch Brands Seen at the Golden Globes
Last night, the 74th annual Golden Globes took place, and with all eyes on the Red Carpet, six top watch brands got some good attention as well. Among them: Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC, Harry Winston, Piaget, Bulgari and Tiffany & Co.
“La La Land” broke the record for the most Golden Globes, seven, won by a single movie. The accolades include Best Director, Damien Chazelle, Best Screenplay, Best Comedy Picture, Best Score, Best Song and Best Actor — Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. Chazelle wore a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Ultra Thin watch on the Red Carpet.
IWC was also in the spotlight, on the wrist of Golden Globe nominee Dev Patel (nominated for his role in “Lion”). Patel is also a brand ambassador for IWC and was wearing a $3,950 IWC Mark XVIII. Golden Globe nominee Mahershala Ali (nominated for his role in “Moonlight”) also wore an IWC — the $5,500 Portofino Automatic on a stainless steel Milanese bracelet. Nominee Jeffrey Tambor was spotted wearing a $9,900 IWC Portugieser Handwound 8 Days.
The always dapper, Ryan Reynolds, nominated for his role in “Deadpool,” wore a Piaget Altiplano 38mm timepiece in 18-carat rose gold on a black alligator strap. Reynolds is a Piaget brand ambassador. Also decked out in Piaget were Matt Damon, producer of “Manchester by the Sea,” who wore an ultra-thin Piaget Altiplano 40mm 18k rose gold watch, and “Stranger Things” star, David Harbour, who also wore an Altiplano on the red carpet.
Christian Slater, nominated as Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries, or Motion Picture for TV wore a Harry Winston Midnight Retrograde Second 42mm Automatic Timepiece in 18k white gold (he also donned a pair of Harry Winston diamond cufflinks).
Jeremy Renner donned a 40mm Tiffany CT60 stainless steel dual time watch and Colin Farrell and Jeff Bridges were seen wearing Bulgari’s iconic Octo watch.
