Worn By Women: The Rotonde de Cartier L’Heure Mysterieuse
This week, Haute Time’s Worn By Women visits Cartier and takes a look at a stunning timepiece, The Rotonde de Cartier L’Heure Mysterieuse – a wonderful homage to one of Cartier’s most well-known complications: the Mystery which dates back to the year 1912.
The Cartier Mystery Watch is powered by the manual winding 9981 MC movement, which is housed in a 42mm, 18k white cold case. The details on the case are stunning with its circular grained crown in 18k pink gold, as well as the signature sapphire cabochon topping the crown.
The Cartier Mystery Watch is certainly an impressive piece for both a man’s wrist or a woman. The white galvanized guilloche dial is stunning with an open worked grid with a sunray design.
The black Roman numerals on the dial create an artistic design, while the off-set sapphire opening on the left of the dial is home to the hour and minutes hands, which ‘mysteriously” seem to be floating in the empty space.
The Rotonde de Cartier L’Heure Mysterieuse is fitted with a beautiful black alligator skin strap with an adjustable deployant buckle, also in 18k white gold.
