Usain Bolt Pays Hublot A Visit In London

Usain Bolt likes to run in China, but he’s on a different pace altogether when his feet hit the ground in Bond Street. The Jamaican sprinter picked up three gold medals at the 2015 World Championships last month and Hublot were just as quick to celebrate the success of their long-time ambassador with yet another award to add to his winnings. The fastest man in the world was back in London this week, where he likes to take his time, particularly when he happens to be stretching his long legs in Bond Street.

For the third year in a row, Usain Bolt visited the London Hublot boutique on New Bond street. In 2013, the self-professed Manchester United was spotted picking up a Hublot King Power Red Devil, a tribute to the English football team. And in 2014, Bolt was back inside the boutique as the face of the Big Bang Unico All Black collection.

Bolt was greeted this time by Benoît Lecigne, Hublot UK Brand Director, and was given a Big Bang Gold wall clock as a congratulations for his recent record-breaking performance at the IAAF championships in Beijing.

Bolt is the first athlete in history to win both the 100m and 200m races, as well as clinching the 4x100m relay with his team. Usain Bolt has been a Hublot ambassador since 2012, a partnership celebrated that year with the launch of his very own Hublot, the King Power Usain Bolt.

“When I was younger I used to buy a lot of cars every year. But after I spoke to Hublot I started taking notes on watches,” revealed Bolt at the time. “Over the years I really got into watches, and it was wonderful starting out with Hublot,” he added.
