Ulysse Nardin Unveil the Superyacht-Inspired Sonata Streamline

Swiss watchmakers Ulysse Nardin have released the Sonata Streamline, a timepiece inspired by the aerodynamic aesthetic of superyachts. This new timepiece, with a case of titanium, is available with two alternative dials; one featuring ultra-durable ceramic and gold, the other with 18-karat rose gold. The 44mm-diameter case and geometrical detailing on both dials reflects Ulysse Nardin’s commitment to ocean navigation.

The Sonata Streamline’s technical specifications include a patented self-winding manufacture caliber run by a 22-karat-gold rotor, affording the timepiece a 42-hour power reserve. The hairspring, anchor and escapement wheel are all manufactured from silicium, an industry first. The timepiece also boasts the acclaimed UN inertial balance wheel. The Streamline has both a “chime” alarm setting at the 2 o’clock position, as well as a countdown indicator, positioned above the 10 o’clock, which can be set up to 24 hours ahead.

As a reflection of the adventurous life of a superyacht owner, this timepiece also features Ulysse Nardin’s patented dual time system with an instant time zone adjustor, wherein a simple press of the plus (+) or minus (-) pushers adjusts the time zone forward and backward. A handy feature keeps your “home time” displayed no matter the time zone you find yourself in. Finally, a Barenia leather or black rubber strap finish off this model.
