Tudor recently unveiled its newest diver’s watch, the Heritage Black Bay watch. Featuring a stunning blue bezel, this timepiece will no doubt rank high on the wish lists of potential buyers. It would be an especially good purchase for those looking for a diver’s watch with a vintage design touch.

The new Heritage Black Bay watch differentiates itself from the red 2012 model with its blue bezel and its thin blue crown tube. The blue holds a special significance for Tudor Watches, recalling the brand’s Submariner model that was created for the French Navy in the 1970s. It features a 41mm steel case, and is water-resistant to 200 meters. It is completed by either a steel bracelet, an aged leather strap or a fabric strap (in blue or black).

At its heart is the self-winding Calibre 2824, based on an ETA 2824 mechanical movement. Tudor has used it for several decades, and it is one of the most common workhorses in the watch world, equipping several different types of watches. For example, the charismatic Longines Legend Diver features the same mechanism. It is not known how deeply Tudor modified the Caliber, but there are rumors that the brand changed the anti-shock system (from Incabloc to Kif) and removed the balance spring Etachron system.

This piece retails for $3,425 for the bracelet version and $3,100 for the leather strap version.
