TAG Heuer Premiers « La Nuit de la Glisse » Film In Paris

The theme was announced on the invitation: “Don’t crack under pressure”. Despite the advance warning inherent in the motto of Swiss watchmaker and sponsor Tag Heuer, few in the packed cinema house were totally prepared for the 90 minutes of exhilarating action that brought us to the edge of our seats in the Grand Rex Theatre in Paris last Friday night. We were there for the World Première of the 2015 edition of “La Nuit de la Glisse” – literally translated in English as “The Night of the Glide”.

The now cult event was created in the late 1970s, contributing to the birth and development of “extreme sports “. This year, French sports enthusiast and moviemaker Thierry Donard, directing the films since 1984 and backed by Tag Heuer, traveled from the Alps to French Polynesia and the fjords of Norway to bring us stunning images of skiers and snowboarders whooshing down improbable slopes, surfers emerging from powerful curls, wingsuiters soaring over spectacular mountains and valleys, and kitesurfers gliding over Polynesian seas.

In the middle of all the intense action, amazing freedive and apnea champion Davide Carrera provided fascinating relief as he sat comfortably on the ocean floor in a lotus position for many long minutes, calmly observing the sea life around him.
