TAG Heuer expands its Aquaracer Professional 300 core collection with the Orange Diver. This new watch is inspired by  the orange diver reference 844, TAG Heuer’s latest Aquaracer Professional 300 offering provides a gorgeous vibrant look. This model, initially unveiled in 2021, provides the same codes as its predecessors: a luxury tool watch that will bring out the adventurous side out of every watch enthusiast.

Orange has always been an important color for those who are close to the water, so it is not surprising that when Heuer looked to expand its dive watch range following the successful launch of the reference 844, it would be a strong source of inspiration. A symbol of safety and security at sea, the strong tone used in the orange of the dial on the latest addition to the Aquaracer family, is prevalent due to its strong contrast against the blue of the ocean. Orange is also one of the universal color pantones for speed, security and records, used on racing tracks or also on NASA spacesuits.

In terms of design, TAG Heuer Aquaracer Orange Diver has a fine brushed and polished 43mm case in stainless steel with a distinctive orange dial and white tip on the seconds hand.

Designed for work and play, and to soak up nature’s harshest challenges, it’s a pure symbol of TAG Heuer’s fearless, avant-garde spirit. With its striking, instantly recognizable aesthetic, epitomized by the Aquaracer’s signature 12 faceted bezel, and its high specifications, it’s entirely contemporary, and yet it recalls a legacy that TAG Heuer began more than 40 years ago.

One of the most awaited TAG Heuer watches is back with a new refined version, including for the first time ever, the in-house movement Heuer 02.

he Monaco Gulf’s story begins with the passion for top-tier of motorsport. The Gulf brand became iconic in the world of racing thanks to its defining livery of vibrant blue and vivid orange which adorned the teams that it sponsored. In the golden era of racing spanning the 1960s and 1970s their main partner would be JW Automotive Engineering, a name that has left an indelible mark on the history of endurance racing.

JW Automotive Engineering is perhaps most clearly remember for its involvement in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with overall wins in 1968, 1969 and 1975. In addition the team field entries in 1970 and 1971 with some of the most celebrated drivers of the era, including the famed Swiss pilot Jo Siffert, aboard the technical tour de force that was the Porsche 917.

At this time, Siffert was a friend of Heuer, one of the first ambassadors as we know them today, and also the driving coach of Steve McQueen for his movie Le Mans. This is how the connection with Gulf, TAG Heuer and Porsche first came life: the Porsche 917 in the signature colors of Gulf and Jo Siffert at the wheel, that would lead to the association with Steve McQueen who drove the same car in the mythical movie, wearing the Monaco on his wrist. When all of these elements are seen together it is clear why this partnership is one of legends, elevating the Monaco even further in its iconic status

The TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition watch comes with a new packaging featuring a box and a special travel pouch, also using the refreshed Gulf colours. The fresh iteration of this iconic timepiece will be available starting from May 2022 and sold worldwide in the TAG Heuer boutiques and on the e-commerce website of the brand.
