Spotlight on Hublot: the Brand’s Best New Tourbillons

The year 2014 was a big one for Hublot. The manufacture started things off with a bang during Geneva Watch Week, and then further impressed us at Baselworld.

During those two shows, the manufacture unveiled some stunning timepieces. Today we’re putting the spotlight on the manufacture’s interpretation of the tourbillon.

Here are our favorite new tourbillons from amongst Hublot’s 2014 novelties:

Hublot Classic Fusion Skeleton Tourbillon Titanium
The Classic Fusion Skeleton Tourbillon Titanium is a 99-piece limited edition model. It features a polished and satin-finished titanium case, and an openworked sapphire dial with rhodium-plated hour markers and hands. At its heart is the MHUB6010.H1.1, a manual-winding skeleton tourbillon movement with a 120-hour power reserve. Functions include hours and minutes.
Hublot Classic Fusion Skeleton Haute Joaillerie
This Classic Fusion Skeleton Haute Joaillerie model features a case, bezel and crown set with tsavorites. The bridges of the HUB6010.H1.1, the manual-winding skeleton tourbillon movement at its heart, are also set with tsavorites.
Hublot Classic Fusion Tourbillon Skull
The Classic Fusion Tourbillon Skull features a ceramic-coated aluminium case that was micro-blast finished to create a distressed look. The openworked dial features hours with Roman numeral indices, a first for Hublot, as well as minutes. At its heart is the HUB6014, a movement with a a 5-day power reserve that was designed, developed and manufactured by Hublot. The skull motif is also incorporated into the tourbillon barret, which rotates fully in one minute.
Hublot Classic Fusion Tourbillon Vitrail
The Classic Fusion Tourbillon Vitrail incorporates a tourbillon with one of the oldest arts: stained glass. The open-worked dial showcases the HUB6017 movement through a colorful miniaturized stained glass window.
Hublot Classic Fusion Tourbillon Firmament
The Classic Fusion Tourbillon Firmament is a world first, using the new material Osium (a metal of thesame family of Paltinum). The material is used as a dial on this timepiece’s skeleton tourbillon.
Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Skeleton Haute Joaillerie
Hublot launched the tonneau-shaped Spirit of Big Bang during this year’s Geneva Watch Week. This is a special Spirit of Big Bang Skeleton Haute Joaillerie version of this 51mm X 45mm model. Functions include hours and minutes.
