The Jules Audemars Tourbillon Openworked 41mm
Among the photos taken by Haute Time Director of Photography Alex Teuscher at the SIHH, no fewer than twelve were reserved for the Jules Audemars Tourbillon Openworked 41 mm from Audemars Piguet, and we are delighted to share them with you here.

Following the Royal Oak Concept Supersonnerie and the colourful new Royal Oak Offshore Diver Chronograph collection that we have already introduced, this new timepiece, this time from the Jules Audemars collection, takes us into yet another direction among the design and technical developments brought to us by Audemars Piguet.

“When elegance meets excellence” is the motto of the Jules Audemars collection, where “the level of finish is what makes the difference, over and above the technical complexity and reliability”. With these photos, you will plunge into its very essence, with details of the movement and its fine decoration with a level of finishing second to none.

But make no mistake; within the beauty of this new timepiece beats an automatic tourbillon caliber from the master watchmakers at the Audemars Piguet Manufacture in Le Brassus.

Housed in a traditional round Jules Audemars case, this one measuring 41 mm in 950 platinum with a hidden crown on the side, the self-winding Manufacture Calibre 2875 composed of 268 parts is seen through a glareproofed sapphire crystal and caseback. On the sapphire dial with a translucent anthracite external zone, pink gold applied hour-markers and hands on translucent anthracite counters allow for easy reading of hours and minutes in the upper subdial, date at 3 o’clock and power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock. The tourbillon is visible through a clear window at 6 o’clock.

Apart from the technical mastery of the automatic tourbillon movement with power reserve of 54 hours, we highlight here the hand finishing and rich engraving that contribute to the beauty of this harmonious and elegant timepiece, enhanced with a hand-stitched “large square scale” grey alligator strap with 950 platinum AP folding clasp.
