PGA Golfers Louis Oosthuizen, Keegan Bradley and Bud Cauley Join Audemars Piguet Team
Luxury watchmakers Audemars Piguet have announced three new ambassadors. PGA golfers Louis Oosthuizen, Keegan Bradley and Bud Cauley have joined the Audemars Piguet Golf Ambassador Team, representing the Swiss manufacture’s commitment to the game.
South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen currently stands at number 6 in the world. Oosthuizen catapulted onto the world stage in 2010 by winning the Open Championship (his first Major) in great style, leaving his direct opponent seven strokes behind. It was on this occasion that the South African champion achieved the second best score in the history of the legendary St. Andrews course, finishing 16 strokes below par. Oosthuizen went on to win 4 tournaments since and was runner-up at the 2012 Masters.
American Keegan Bradley, who is ranked among the 10 best players thanks to a series of 4 consecutive Top 10 finishes, is known for the breadth of his technical range. In his first season on the PGA Tour in 2011 he won twice, including the PGA Championship, marking just the third time in the history of the game that a player won a major championship in his first attempt. A year later he cemented his place among the world’s leading players by winning the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and being a valued member of the U.S. Ryder Cup team.
Bud Cauley, one of the youngest players on the circuit, graduated as a three-time All-American from the University of Alabama in 2011, the highest individual accolade in US collegiate sports. He debuted at the US Open and became the sixth player in golf history to go straight from college to the PGA Tour.
François-Henri Bennahmias, the CEO of Audemars Piguet, told us; “The worlds of golf and watchmaking are interlinked, sharing values such as passion, precision and rigorousness. We are proud to team up with such exceptional golfers, passionate about their sport as well as perpetuating these values through their outstanding professionalism and success.”
