After the unveiling, which took place at the Japanese Football Association (JFA) House in Tokyo, Hublot organized a Charity Kick Target to raise money for the JFA benefiting victims of Japan’s 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Kids had the chance to score goals and raise money – even Mr. Guadalupe gave it a try! The event raised JPY¥3,000,000 (approximately US$29,316).

For Pelé the unveiling and charity event were especially meaningful as it was his first visit to the country since 2011, when he came to support the Japanese people in the wake of the earthquake.

Pelé commented, “Today was especially memorable, not only because I am here in Tokyo with Hublot, but because we were able to give back to the children and future of football in Japan. I’m so thrilled to see how Hublot has managed to put together the passion for football and the fervor of Brazil into such an extraordinary piece. I can’t wait for World Cup competition to start!”
