Parmigiani Fleurier Presents Solid Silver Table Clock
Michel Parmigiani has accumulated 192 years of experience in horology since going into business in 1975. His company, Parmigiani Mesure et Arts du Temps, got its start restoring antique clocks that were considered beyond repair, like the 1820 Breguet Sympathique. In 1996 the company evolved into Parmigiani Fleurier, taking its turn at producing high quality timepieces in addition to restoring them.
Parmigiani’s years of hard work have culminated in the company’s latest offering, the Parmigiani Fleurier 15-Day Table Clock. Crafted inside a 1 kg case of Rhodium-plated solid silver and a faceted mineral glass crystal, the side and rear panes of the case allow an unobstructed view of the inner workings of the clock. Up front, the time is displayed on a face consisting of two sunray lacquered blue dials; a smaller one is for seconds, which is located at the 12 o’clock position of the larger main dial.
What make the Parmigiani 15-Day Table Clock unique are the technological innovations contained within the gears of the piece. The Parmigiani Fleurier calibre PF920 movement has an escapement which is kept at a force of sustained, unchanging intensity. In order to maintain this constant force, Parmigiani uses a spiral to link the two components. The piece is wound by a key, which comes in a hidden drawer that also houses another key for time adjustment.
Parmigiani Fleurier is headquartered in the Swiss municipality of Val-de-Travers.
