Maîtres du Temps Unveil Chapter Two Triple Calendar Round
Luxury watchmakers Maîtres du Temps are earning accolades for their timepiece Chapter Two Triple Calendar Round (TCR). This watch has been dubbed the world’s most legible triple calendar wristwatch, a high praise for the company’s watchmakers Daniel Roth and Peter Speake-Marin.
This highly refined timepiece boasts Maîtres du Temps’ signature day and month roller indications. With a big date window at the 12 o’clock and the month & day-of-the-week indications spelled out, this is the perfect timepiece for the watch lover who is constantly traveling. To ensure legibility at all times, the Chapter Two TCR comprises three anti-reflective sapphire crystals; one over the main dial and two curved crystals over the month and day rollers on the caseback. Engravings on the paddle-shaped pushers identify the month, day and big-date pusher functions.
The 56 mm x 44 mm x 15 mm octagonal case of Grade-5 titanium houses the Chapter Two TCR’s Caliber SHC01 automatic movement, which was developed by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier in close collaboration with Peter Speake-Marin and Daniel Roth. The 332-component movement is beautifully done, with engraved text around the 22k-gold goblet-shaped rotor’s periphery reading Masters and Their Craft—A Lifelong Pursuit of Excellence (the company’s motto). The movement also features sun-ray Côtes de Genève finishing on the polished hand-beveled bridges, mirror-polished screw heads and helical spirals & perlage on the mainplate. Working at 28,800 vph (4 Hz), the Chapter Two TCR has a 50 hour power reserve. The Chapter Two TCR timepiece is finished with a black, natural rubber strap with titanium folding buckle.
“With Chapter Two TCR, Daniel Roth and Peter Speake-Marin have taken Maîtres du Temps into new and exciting territory”, founder Steven Holtzman told us. “This is the first of our timepieces to sport a more casual design. The resultant style and vitality exuded by Chapter Two TCR shows the amazing versatility of these consummate watchmakers—as well as that of Maîtres du Temps.”
