Longines Donates $ 50,000 to Andre Agassi’s Foundation

This weekend Andre Agassi got a special gift from luxury watchmakers Longines. The tennis legend was in Paris this weekend during the French Open to receive a donation of $50,000 during an exclusive dinner held on the Champs Elysées.

Agassi delighted fans with an autograph session during the inauguration of Longines’ new Hour Passion boutique at 3 Rue de Sèvres, Paris 6. Agassi also stopped by the Longines Smash Corner at the Roland Garros stadium, where he spent time doling out advice to budding tennis players. The proceeds from the Longines Smash Corner, which gives people the chance to measure the speed of their serve, will go to the charity foundations run by Agassi and his wife Stephanie Graf, Children for Tomorrow and the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education. (Agassi and his wife Steffi Graf are both ambassadors for Longines, and work closely with the manufacture to support their respective charities.)

Later that day the manufacture presented Agassi a cheque for $50,000 at a dinner held on the Champs Elysées. The Andre Agassi Foundation for Education is dedicated to improving the education of disadvantaged children in the USA.
