The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie got off to incredible start today with the help of Jaeger-LeCoultre. The manufacture unveiled 12 new novelties, the highlight of which is undoubtedly the Master Ultra-Thin Minute Repeater Flying Tourbillon.

The latest addition to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Hybris Mechanica collection, the Master Ultra-Thin Minute Repeater Flying Tourbillon is housed in a 41mm 18K white gold case. However, the true focus is the width of that case: just 7.9mm thick, which means this piece holds the title of thinnest minute repeater wristwatch in production. The mechanical automatic Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 362, a movement crafted, assembled and decorated by hand, also adheres to ultra-slim dimensions with a 33.3mm diameter and 4.8mm thickness.

The silver-toned grained dial features traditional baton-type transferred indices and Dauphine hands. Functions include hours and minutes, as well as a minute repeater equipped with silent-timelapse reduction function. The centerpiece of the dial is the flying tourbillon with flying balance-wheel, located at 6 o’clock. The rotor can also be glimpsed through windows around the hour track. This piece is completed by a black alligator leather strap with a white gold pin buckle.
