IWC Schaffhausen Opens First London Boutique
IWC Schaffhausen has unveiled its first UK boutique on London’s New Bond Street in Mayfair, just in time for the last weekend of Christmas shopping. The new address follows the recent launch of 20 new Portofino Midsize models, as well as a new boutique in Miami.
IWC CEO Georges Kern, revealed the new boutique in London “has been a key focus of the brand for some time now,” as the brand follows in the footsteps of Patek Philippe, and Breguet, in breaking new ground in Bond Street, confirming this influence of this particular stretch of the world. “The whole of Bond Street is an exciting story,” said Peter Wetherell, founder and Chief Executive of Wetherell, one of Mayfair’s most celebrated estate agents.
The new two-storey, 90 m² site, features Art Deco elements throughout, making it entirely unique in comparison to other IWC boutiques worldwide. IWC’s signature monochrome colours are complimented by piano-finished Macassar wood, polished stainless steel, Carrara marble and luxurious carpets, while a new lighting concept by renowned French lighting designers ‘Ponctuelle’, ensures all timepieces are perfectly lit.
The new boutique offers the very best from the IWC collection, including the entire newly launched diamond-set Portofino Midsize collection, as well as a special edition Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar in stainless steel, manufactured exclusively for the IWC London boutique.
The second floor of the boutique offers a members club ‘lounge’ experience, with a warming fireplace in order to offer customers a home away from home and an escape from the bustling streets of central London.
