Introducing Louis Vuitton’s New Smart Watch: The Tambour Horizon Light Up
Louis Vuitton recently unveiled their third generation connected watch, the Tambour Horizon Light Up. Remaining true to the brand’s devotion to superb craftsmanship in the modern era, the watch fuses the worlds of art and technology, setting a new precedent for luxury and high-end connected watches.
The watch debuted in three versions: the Polished Steel, the Matte Black, and the Matte Brown—reminiscent of the iconic Louis Vuitton House codes. Each model embodies a sleek new design that transcends the watch beyond as every Tambour Horizon Light Up element has been imagined, redesigned, and reengineered to create a one-of-a-kind piece since its launch in 2002. Both the black and brown models are complete with high-end PVD finishes, and the black variant features a contrasting titanium crown. The House’s design codes are reflected through a rainbow of colors, including eleven bold new gradient hues to curate.

From subtle touches of personalization—like the option to add initials with desired color and typeface—to the exclusive OS system that delivers a highly intuitive, functional experience to integrate into the wearer’s every day, the Tambour Horizon Light Up has become the most customizable luxury connected watch in the world. Impressively, the Tambour Horizon Light Up’s operating system is so sophisticated that it has become the first outside Apple’s own ecosystem to be accredited as “MFI” or “made for iPhone.”

With a subtle swipe, the face of the watch will bring the user to personalized features like ‘My Day’ or ‘My Travel,’ which connects to the Louis Vuitton Connect app, an application for their range of connected devices, including the innovative Louis Vuitton Horizon Light Up Speaker. On the app, users can access personalization tools to customize the watch faces and system colors and monitor their heart rate—a first-time feature for the Tambour.
This model of the Tambour undoubtedly marks a lot of firsts for the brand as they continue to stand at the forefront of connected watches; the Tambour is also the first Louis Vuitton connected watch designed with push buttons on the side of the crown.
