Hublot And Depeche Mode Debut “The Singles” Collector’s Edition In Support Of Charity: Water

Ricardo Guadalupe and Martin Gore present the Big Bang Depeche Mode The Singles Limited Edition Set

Swiss watchmaker Hublot partnered with Depeche Mode to present a collector’s series of 55 unique Big Bang timepieces to honor each of the English electronic band’s singles and to support charity: water.

“This new and unique collection of 55 different pieces plays tribute to their incredible career while aptly celebrating our common ground,” said Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe, who, together with songwriter Martin Gore, unveiled the series last week at the Manufacture’s Milan boutique.

Each of “The Singles” models features a disc on the dial, which partially shows the record cover it stands for. The aesthetic borrows from the very first timepiece Hublot and Depeche Mode produced together. The back reveals the entire cover alongside the logo of charity: water, a New York-based nonprofit that supplies clean water to developing countries worldwide.

The 45mm watches are powered by Hublot’s UNICO movement, which provides a power reserve of 72 hours. Each piece comes with its own uniquely colored strap but all bear rock-and-roll inspired rubber studs. An exclusive Roland JP-08 synthesiser, which pays tribute to the iconic Roland Jupiter 8 synth that Depeche Mode used throughout the decades, accompanies each watch. A special RIMOWA case harbors every watch, its synthesiser as well as the corresponding vinyl single.

The proceeds from the sale of the 55 one-of-a-kind timepieces will go to charity: water.
