Hublot Dedicate Custom King Power 305 to Miami
Luxury watchmakers Hublot have announced the release of a custom King Power 305 timepiece to honor the city of Miami. The exclusive watch will be officially unveiled on September 26 at the W Hotel in South Beach.
Only 40 watches of this limited edition King Power 305 will be produced, so it is already garnering buzz from luxury collectors. The casing will be engraved with a view of Miami’s South Beach and the iconic area code – 305 – which evokes the city. The 257-component, 48 mm-diameter watch will be made from King Gold (18 carat gold, with 5% platinum added to achieve that distinctive Hublot red tinge), with HUB4214 mechanical self-winding skeleton chronograph movement. Technical details include an oscillating frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hours and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The blue strap will be made of Hornback alligator, stitched onto white rubber; the white and ocean blue details evoking the sand and sea of this famous South Florida destination. True to the lifestyle of its inspiration locale, the watch will be water-resistant to 100 metres.
A further 10 watches of a version with 374 white diamonds, totalling approximately 3.34 carats, will also be produced.
Miami native DJ Irie and the famed culinary experts at the W South Beach will toast the launch with free-flowing Dom Perignon champagne when Hublots CEO Ricardo Guadalupe and Hublot Americas
exclusive partner Rick DelaCroix unveil the watch.
