Sotheby’s is set to auction off an incredible selection of fine jewelry. On March 26, the auction house will host its London Fine Jewels sale, with lots spanning from a pair of late 18th-century diamond ear pendants decorated with rose-cut diamonds to an antique Fancy Yellow diamond ring.
Here are our some of favorite highlights from the upcoming auction, including several pieces from the Art Deco period of the 1920s and 30s:
This gem-set enamel and diamond vanity case (estimate $13,027 – $19,540) was manufactured by the Lacloche Frères in the 1920s. It is shown here with a circa-1930s signed and numbered Van Cleef & Arpels emerald and diamond ring (estimate $11,399 – $14,655).This circa-1920s bracelet features a series of plaques set with natural pearls and circular-cut diamonds (estimate $40,708 – $56,991).This late 19th century necklace features three graduated rows of natural pearls and a square clasp set with foil backed cushion-shaped and circular-cut diamonds (estimate $32,566 – $40,708).This 19th century necklace features a stylised foliate-design pendant set with baroque natural pearls of various colours and millegrain collet set with circular-cut and cushion-shaped diamonds (estimate $48,849 – $81,415).This 1920s geometric Cartier bracelet features circular-cut, bullet-shaped and baguette diamonds (estimate $19,540 – $29,310). It is shown here with a set of signed Yard cufflinks, buttons and studs, all of which are made from coral, onyx and diamond (estimate $4,885 – $8,142).
