Harrods Celebrates 27th Biennale In Fine Watch Room
Harrods is celebrating the 27th Anniversary of the historic Biennale exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris by recreating the magic in its very own Fine Watch room, says Harrods’ buyer, Roanne Orlebar.
To compliment the nine official High Jewellery brands exhibiting in the Fine Jewellery Room, a selection of Fine Watch brands are celebrating the craftsmanship of fine horology with some spectacular pieces of their own:
This elegant timepiece has been crafted in Switzerland Exclusively for Harrods, and has been launched as part of our celebration of the Biennale in the Fine Watch Room. The Backes and Strauss Harrods Princess is hand-set with 80 Gemfields Zambian emeralds and 241 natural diamonds for a total of 23.5 carats The white gold case is set with Ideal Cut diamonds to match the dial, and a beautifully engineered bracelet created from a series of hand-crafted links adorned with a further 136 diamonds and emeralds, alone weighing 18.6 carats. “This truly amazing piece” is being showcased in a dedicated Backes and Strauss pop-up area within the Fine Watch Room. It is priced at £240,000.
The Audemars Piguet Baguette Diamond Encrusted Royal Oak with Lady Royal Oak Baguette Cut Diamonds is a piece to truly fall in love with. It must be seen to be believed. Diamonds really are a girls best friend with this truly stunning Baguette Diamond Encrusted Royal Oak from Audemars Piguet, Ref: 67606BC.ZZ.9179BC.01. It is priced at £590,100.
The final piece is the Roger Dubuis full diamond Tourbillion, Ref: RDDBEX0418 is an SIHH 2014 Novelty. This full diamond set, pink gold case Tourbillion has a beautifully crafted futuristic style. It perfectly combines high performance with modern beauty. The piece is composed of 165 parts and comes with a genuine alligator hand stitched strap.
