Glashütte Original Premieres The Art Of The Chronograph Exhibit In Southern California
German watchmaker Glashütte Original is celebrating the release of their new Calibre 37 timepieces with ‘The Art of the Chronograph’ exhibit, a world tour that has already made successful stops in London, Dresden, Stuttgart, Hong Kong, Chicago and New York. The interactive installation is now making its way to Southern California.
‘The Art of the Chronograph.’ which is premiering at the South Coast Plaza, will give serious watch collectors, hobbyists and fans of the industry a chance to learn about the brand’s heritage and the long tradition of chronograph creation.
The exhibit features a diverse and exciting collection of vintage and contemporary timepieces from the brand’s history. Every watch featured at the exhibit was handmade in the town of Glashütte over the past 170 years. Guests can explore the intrinsic German engineering behind Glashütte Original mechanisms by viewing the dissembled chronograph Calibre 37 and the hundreds of tiny parts that make up the inner-workings of the movement.
The exhibition will run outside the Tourbillon Boutique at South Coast Plaza, in Costa Mesa, from June 9 – 22, 2015.
