Ferrari Celebrates 70th Anniversary In New York City
On October 7th and 8th Ferrari takes over Manhattan, as part of the worldwide celebration of their 70th anniversary! It will put on display some of their most iconic cars.
This gives you a unique opportunity to see some of the rarest, exotic, and valuable sports cars in existence. Divided over Rockefeller Center, Park Avenue, Sotheby’s and the Hublot Boutique on Fifth Avenue, you can admire cars like the 166 MM, from 1949 which was designed to compete in road races such as the Mille Miglia, after which it also took its name.
The cars on display show many aspects of Ferrari during its 70th decades in existence. You can find TV-stars, such as the 308 GTB, the same model as in which Magnum PI drove, early supercars like the GTO and the F40, as well as true racers such as the Ferrari F10, the car in which they participated in the Formula One Championship in 2010.
Also included in the line-up is the 2017 LaFerrari Aperta, a car that makes many supercars look tame. With 905 hp, this V12 powered car is the world’s fastest open-top road car.
As the official partner of Ferrari, will also Hublot participate in the festivities. They host an exclusive cocktail party at their Fifth Avenue Boutique where, surrounded by Ferrari’s, they have on display the Hublot Techframe Ferrari Tourbillon Chronograph. This watch was created to celebrate Ferrari’s 70th anniversary. While it distinctly combines the DNA of both brands it has the honor of being the first-ever non-car to be designed by Ferrari.
Ferrari North America also contributes to a better future for children in the US and around the world, by partnering with the International Humanitarian organization Save the Children. They do so in the spirit of Enzo Ferrari himself, whose motto “If you can dream it, you can do it.” not only applies to this great cause, but still serves as a daily source of inspiration for the brand he founded.
