Inside Chopard’s Star-Studded Secret “Big Party” At Cannes Film Festival

Cannes Film Festival is upon us, which means we can expect to hear about the most glamorous of parties for the remainder of the week. One of the festival sponsors, Chopard and its co-president, Caroline Scheufele, dazzled their guests with the highly anticipated (and highly secretive) “big party,” which took place at the Château de la Croix des Gardes.

The Château de la Croix des Gardes provided guests with unparalleled views of the Bay of Cannes, as well as the stunning ambiance of the park itself, which served as the setting for Alfred Hitchcock’s famed 1955 film To Catch a Thief.  Notable dinner attendees included Julianne Moore, Marion Cotillard, Lupita Nyong’O, Kendall Jenner, Stella Maxwell and Petra Nemcova.

During the dinner portion of the evening, guests were thrilled and surprised with some of the world’s top models, who walked the onsite runway setup on the property’s infinity pool, showcasing Chopard’s latest collection of Haute Joaillerie, as part of its “Red Carpet Collection.” The models, who wore Elie Saab ensembles and Aquazzura shoes, included Elsa Hosk, Josephine Skriver, Joan Smalls, Jasmine Tookes, Sara Sampaio, Izabel Goulart, Sui He, Ming Xi, Stella Maxwell and Irina Shayk.

Ms. Scheufele then hosted an exclusive party for her guests, who enjoyed the surprise performance by world-renowned Latin superstar Enrique Iglesias, singing his most famous hits—including “Tonight”—as well as a music set by none other than DJ Cassidy. Guests danced and partied the night away at what was sure to have been one of the most memorable Cannes 2018 evenings.
