Certainly “Chronofiable”® The Richard Mille RM035 Rafael Nadal

In the early 80’s the Chronofiable® test was developed to confirm and certify that a watch movement could withstand extreme conditions without compromising its accuracy and performance. The RM035 by Richard Mille was tested and certified to withstand shocks without losing accuracy or damaging the movement, and awarded the “Chronofiable®” certification. Another way to test the accuracy and performance of a timepiece….place it on the wrist of a tennis super star Rafael Nadal during one of his matches and watch this timepiece perform.

The RM035 features a 48mm tonneau case constructed of a super light-weight metal called magnesium-aluminum alloy and houses a skeletonized RMUL1, manual-winding movement with hours, minutes and seconds functions. The alloy used to construct the case is made up of about 90%magnesium and about 8.9% aluminum making this timepiece extremely light and comfortable to wear.

The black color on the case is achieved by the oxidation of the magnesium and aluminum metals and the metals are given a coating of crystalline oxide ceramic, increasing the hardness and the scratch resistance of the case.

Since Richard Mille was dedicated to keeping this timepiece lightweight, yet rugged, many of the other components are also lightweight metals, such as titanium and carbon fiber, each used in their own precise way to complete this original timepiece by Richard Mille.

The Richard Mille RM035 Chronofiable® Certified is priced at $85,000.00.
