Carmelo Anthony’s Haute Time Watch of the Day: Glashütte Original Senator Tourbillon
Today’s Haute Time Watch of the Day is The Senator Tourbillon, introduced recently at Baselworld, by Glashütte Original.
This impressive timepiece incorporates the Glashütte Original watchmaking history with a contemporary style by using a Flying Tourbillon, developed in 1920 by Glashütte watchmaker Alfred Helwig in 1920, along with today’s engineering, to create the new Senator Tourbillon.
The 42 mm white gold case is a perfect accent to the gray lacquered grained dial, which features engraved Roman numerals and a railroad chapter surrounding the dial. At the 12 o’clock position, there is a panorama date window and of course, at the 6 o’clock position the impressive Flying Tourbillon with seconds. The white gold poire hands complete the look of the timepiece and certainly keeps consistant with the classic design and elegance of Glashütte Original.
Shown on a black Louisiana alligator nubuck leather strap with white gold folding buckle, the new Senator Tourbillon by Glashütte Original is a great addition to the collection.
