From the 2014 Aquatimer collection, comes a special launch in support of the Charles Darwin Foundation, The Aquatimer Chronograph Edition “Expedition Charles Darwin”. This special timepiece traces the journey of Charles Darwin to the Galapagos Islands, which formed the basis of his theories on the origin of species.

For the first time ever, IWC chooses bronze to create the case of this limited edition Aquatimer, since bronze was one of the materials used in shipbuilding during the time Darwin set out on his journey. The solid bronze case measures 42mm and features an innovative rotating bezel, a hallmark of IWC Aquatimers, which date back to 1967.

The Aquatimer Chronograph Edition “Expedition Charles Darwin” is powered by the IWC manufactured 89365 calibre movement and is equipped with easily interchangeable bracelets and straps.
