Carmelo Anthony’s Haute Time Watch of the Day: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph
The striking blue dial of this dual-complication Royal Oak Offshore is openworked, with freestyle-shaped windows at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, on the dial. They reveal elements of the manual wound Caliber 2912 tourbillon chronograph movement, with a column wheel. The window at 9 o’clock reveals the tourbillon carriage and bridge which, like all the bridges, is blackened anodized aluminum. The cut out parts are manually finished, with polished bevels, grained finishing on top and matt brouillé finishing underneath. The case is platinum, with a black ceramic bezel, and the strap is rubber. The crown and pushpieces are also ceramic. It is powered by twin barrels, for a power reserve of 237 hours (about 10 days).
