Breguet Celebrates 10 Years on Madison Avenue With $10 Million Collection
The first U.S. boutique for world renowned watchmaker Breguet celebrated a decade on Madison Avenue last night with an exclusive cocktail reception showcasing a selection of the brands most coveted timepieces and high jewelry valued at $10 Million. Breguet’s U.S. brand president, Mr. Michael Nelson was joined by friend of the brand, actor Dominic Chianese (The Sopranos), to ring in a new decade.
Pioneering the concept of dedicated watch boutiques, Breguet was among the first high-end timepiece and jewelry retailers on Madison Avenue. The success of that boutique led to the brand’s expansion into Fifth Avenue, Rodeo Drive, Bal Harbor and Las Vegas.
The Breguet Boutique on Madison Avenue opened its doors at a time when New York City was recovering from the tragic events of 9/11/2001. Breguet was committed to be a part of the revival of New York City and dedicated to investing in the Upper East Side’s Historic District. Thanks to the vision of Mr. Nicolas. G. Hayek, when businesses were closing and lingering vacancies on Madison Avenue were a visible trend, Breguet stayed on course with the launch of the boutique to support the rebuilding of the city via a thriving business community.
In marking this decade of pride and accomplishments, the Breguet Boutique on Madison Avenue displayed a spectacular collection of exclusive timepieces that included a diamond studded minute repeater from the Classique Grande Complications collection, never before seen in the U.S. Also from the Classique Grande Complications collections were two timepieces with twin tourbillions. Finally, Breguet dazzled its guests with rare pieces from the high jewelry collection including the Le Petit Trianon, Les Jardins du Petit Trianon, and the Petit Flower.
