Seth Semilof, Publisher of Haute Living magazine, has been a devoted watch enthusiast since he can remember. It was out of this passion that, last year, Semilof and business partner Kamal Hotchandani launched luxury timepiece website Haute Time. The two curate the site, hand-selecting all content that goes live. Semilof highlights his favorite—and the most sought-after—watch brands through weekly five-question interviews with the CEOs and Presidents of these top-tier companies. Finally, he curates the site on a daily basis, including three or more updates on newsworthy topics every day.

Bomberg Delivers Big at BaselWorld

One of the best parts of going to BaselWorld is searching for the next big thing in the watch world. Every watch can’t be a tourbillon or watch over $25,000 – sometimes it’s great just to see a brand putting together a strong product at an introductory price. This week Jaeger-LeCoultre held an exclusive preview of their new film “Libre” (French for free) at 620 Loft & Garden in New York City. During the event, which was hosted by actress Diane Kruger, the manufacture launched some new lines, and one of the pieces that got our attention was the Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez-Vous Perpetual Calendar. This watch is powered by an automatic movement, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. Patek Philippe Adds All Rose Gold to Nautilus Chronograph Line

Like many people at BaselWorld, going to see the new Patek Philippe pieces was one of the best parts of the watch show for me. This year, I was very excited to see that the brand upgraded the Nautilus chronograph line with an all rose gold edition (ref. 5980/1R), as well as a steel and gold version (ref.5980/1AR). Bell & Ross Unveil New WW2 Tourbillon

Bell & Ross delivered big this year at BaselWorld. One of the watches that really sparked my interest was the Bell & Ross WW2 Tourbillon, a titanium tourbillon that should be in stores by the end of this year or beginning of next year. Haute Time Gets a Hands-On Look at the HYT H2 at BaselWorld

One of our favorite brands took their creations to the next level at BaselWorld; the launch of HYT’s H2. We saw the plans for this timepiece back when we were in Geneva for SIHH; during a lunch meeting with company CEO Vincent Perriard, he showed us on his laptop the creation of the HYT H2, which would be launched at BaselWorld.
