This is the first model of the Reverso – Jaeger-LeCoultre’s most iconic timepiece – to be equipped with an automatic movement. The Caliber 967/B has a 42-hour power reserve, and drives a 24-hour second time zone subdial that replaces the numeral 6 on the dial. The day/night indication is unique and ultra-subtle. Like many luxury watches this year, the Cartier Tortue has been slimmed down. The new extra-flat version has been reduced in thickness, and the domed case has been replaced by a flatter, more elongated version. The Tortue, originally launched in 1912, has a case design inspired by the outline of a tortoise. It is one of the brand’s iconic “shaped watches” along with the Tonneau, the Baignoire and the Crash. Carmelo Anthony Haute Time Watch of the Day: Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Pulsograph

Montblanc has created an entire watch collection as a tribute to one of the world’s most iconic writing instruments, the Montblanc Meisterstück. The movement, manual-wound caliber MB M13.21 is a monopusher chronograph, which can be seen through the back of the 18k rose gold case. It was inspired by the prestigious Caliber 13.20 of its sister brand, Minerva, which was first fabricated in 1923. This 45mm  Big Bang Unico is so-named because it is equipped with Hublot’s in-house self-winding flyback chronograph Unico movement with column wheel, made entirely in the Hublot manufacture. The case is made of sporty, tough carbon fiber, which gives the watch a distinctive race-car aesthetic. Red chapter rings and a red-tipped chronograph seconds hand enhance readability of key functions. The dial is matte black, with rhodium-plated upper layer indexes and microblasted rhodium-plated hands with white luminescent coating. The Dizzy Hands is Richard Mille’s take on the notion of the suspension of time. When the pusher in the center of the crown is pressed once, the sapphire glass dial on which the numerals are printed begins to rotate counterclockwise, as the hour hand moves clockwise, both at different speeds. This serves to suspend the indications of time until the button is pushed again, restoring the watch to the current time. This watch is not only a chronograph but a dual timer. The second time zone is read by means of a filigree-style second hour hand on the central dial. This is supplement by a day/night indicator appearing through a window just below the Jaeger-LeCoultre signature on the dial.
