Audemars Piguet Host Virtual Tennis Tournament & Cocktail Party In NYC
Yesterday evening, Audemars Piguet hosted one of the hautest events leading up to the US Open.
The luxury watchmaker welcomed event-goers to a mixed doubles virtual tennis tournament and cocktail party with tennis champions as well as Audemars Piguet brand ambassadors Serena Williams and Stan Wawrinka at The Standard, High Line.
Guest not only enjoyed mingling with tennis royalty, but also a panoramic view of the Hudson River as a backdrop. Xavier Nolot, CEO of Audemars Piguet North America, welcomed attendees including Olivia Palermo, Johannes Huebl, Marion Bartoli, Bjarke Ingels, Jay Williams and Nausheen Shah, among others.
Before the Wii tennis finals commenced, Williams and Wawrinka gave remarks to a crowd of more than 150 guests. When asked about playing tennis in the United States both players noted their affinity for New York City. Williams said, “It was always my dream to play in New York and to also hold a trophy here so it is a great feeling to be on this stage.”
The 33-year-old returns to New York City this week to play for a fourth major tournament title this year.
Williams and Wawrinka also shared their passion for Audemars Piguet, expressing their admiration of the brand’s thoughtful design and their love of the history of the family owned brand. Celebrating the evening in style, Williams wore a new ladies Millenary in rose gold with a diamond set bezel on a black alligator strap. Wawrinka sported the Royal Oak with a rose gold case and bracelet featuring a black dial.
In addition, Palermo was also spotted wearing the new Ladies Millenary, featuring a white gold case with a diamond set bezel with the elegant black alligator strap option.
