Audemars Piguet Announces Claude Emmenegger As New Creative Director

Haute horlogerie brand Audemars Piguet has announced Claude Emmenegger as their new Creative Director.

Emmenegger has enjoyed a long career in the realm of luxury timepieces. After beginning his career at Longines, The new Creative Director spent time at Gucci where he created 23 collections including the G Watch.

He then joined Audemars Piguet in 1999, where his passion for complicated movements and innovation led to the creation of the Tradition of Excellence models 2,3 and 4.

Emmenegger also developed the Royal Oak Concept, which was first launched in 2002 after significant technical developments in horology. Claude led his team through the entire creative process.

After leaving the company in 2003 to establish his own design consulting company, Claude returns Audemars Piguet with goals of further developing the brand’s women’s category and creating high-tech concepts and new functionalities.
