Panerai Launches Modern New Luminor Due Collection
Marrying new modern notes with its signature aesthetic, Panerai has launched its new Luminor Due collection. The watches are reimagined and redesigned with different sizing and innovative updates in its six new models—three of which have the brushed titanium case and blue satiné soleil nish of the dial. All have manufacture movements and changeable straps with an overall, thinner finish.
The Luminor Due 38mm (PAM00926) uses titanium for the first time, while Luminor Due 42mm (PAM00927) is the first model in a titanium case with automatic mechanical movement in this size. Furthermore, the Luminor Due GMT Power reserve 45mm (PAM000964) is the brand’s first 45mm timepiece and uses the Quick Release system to change straps. The dial designs on all models have the printed Arabic numerals and numbers with a choice between leather straps.
True to Panerai’s high standards, the manufacture movement is mechanical, but exclusively with automatic winding for practical purposes. The introduction of the new P.900 Calibre with its 4.2mm thickness—one of the thinnest automatic movements made at the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel—marks the first Panerai automatic watch with this diameter to boast a date display and three-day power reserve. Taking this a step further is the P.4002 Calibre in the Luminor Due GMT Power Reserve 45mm (PAM000964), with twin-time zones, dial-side power reserve indication and a 24-hour display with an a.m./p.m. indicator, all of which are included within an incredibly thin movement of 4.8mm thickness.
