Photo Essay: An Afternoon With TAG Heuer At The Goodwood Festival of Speed 2015
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a must for all petrol heads in the United Kingdom. The biggest outdoor motor racing festival in the world, with over 150,000 visitors, it unites the most incredible motorbikes, drivers, and celebrities for a unique uphill race.
And for some years now, it’s become a prime location for some watch spotting. TAG Heuer was once again the strongest presence at the event, the Swiss brand celebraring its fifth consecutive Goodwood with five new watches released specifically for the occasion.
In TAG Heuer’s paddock this year, the Senna collection celebrating 30 years of partnership with McLaren, was presented alongside Senna’s unforgettable MP4/4, officially the winningest F1 car ever built.
The sportiest watch in the collection is without a doubt the new Carrera Calibre 16 Senna, which is available in two versions (see above) with a polished and brushed steel case a stainless steel bracelet, or with a blackened titanium case, black dial and rubber, tyre tread strap.
TAG Heuer also unveiled a new Tag Heuer McLaren Limited Edition watch, launched exclusively at the Festival, with a special McLaren bezel and black and red striped ‘NATO’ style strap (see below).
While speed freaks had their eyes fixed on the track, others enjoyed a spot of sunbathing in front of Goodwood House, or a chance to get behind the wheel of the latest commercial models, unveiled by manufacturers during the Geneva Motor Show at the beginning of the year.
TAG Heuer also provided some entertainment of its own, with an array of interactive games, including Gran Turismo simulators, reflex-testing machines, and a racing Scalextrics hosted by its very own team of grid girls.
