Harry Winston Opens New Design District Boutique In Miami
Yesterday, Harry Winston cut the ribbon on it’s new Design District boutique in Miami, cementing the area’s new reputation as the ultimate luxury shopping destination. “We really knew that we had made it when Harry Winston agreed to come,” said Design District mastermind Craig Robins as he was about to snip the ribbon. “On a personal note, I knew that I had really made it when my fiancé [Jackie Sofer] brought me in here to get wedding bands for our forthcoming wedding,” said Robins with a chuckle.
Harry Winston CEO Nayla Hayek was on hand for the big day, calling the Miami Design District “the perfect setting for Harry’ Winston’s newest location.” The unveiling revealed an elegant and understated two-story salon with bronze-edge cases and a soft color palate to make the jewels really stand out. Harry Winston is one of the most storied jewelers with a history going back to 1932, and famous endorsements from Marilyn Monroe in Diamond’s Are A Girls Best Friend. The store’s interior evokes that history with an Art Deco sensibility.
Of course, the most heart-stopping part about the new store are the famous Harry Winston diamonds, which includes a 10-carat cushion-cut diamond ring with F color for a mere $1,200,000. Even pricier still were their pink diamonds that ran closer to $9 million.
For the watch aficionados, Harry Winston was displaying a series of limited edition watches they showed at Basel World, including their Harry Winston Premier Precious Butterfly automatic 36mm, which features the pigment from real butterfly wings in a stunning design.
