IWC Schaffhausen Presents ‘Iconic’ Exhibition At Harrods
In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the iconic Portugieser collection, IWC Schaffhausen is currently presenting a special exhibition in the Fine Watch Room in Harrods.
The exhibition will offer Londoners one of the first opportunities to view the brand new Portugieser collection in the UK, since the launch at SIHH in January.
The new collection features several complications, including a chronograph, a perpetual calendar as well as the brand’s first annual calendar, the which we reviewed here during its presentation at SIHH.
The IWC Portugieser Annual Calendar features three separate windows for the month, date and day at 12 o’clock, in an American order to pay homage to IWC’s American founder, Florentine Ariosto Jones.
The Swiss watch brand will also be displaying its heritage, which dates back to 1868, through a collection of vintage IWC timepieces, including a Savonette Taschenuhr Kalibre Jones pocket watch from 1875, and a Portugieser Anniversary Watch Hand-Wound Calibre 9826 (shown above).
