Girard-Perregaux 1966 Jewellery Watch Collection

Paying homage to the world’s most prolific era of watchmaking, the legendary 1966 collection produced by Girard-Perregaux marries luxury and sophistication to creativity, technical expertise, and performance.

Founded in 1791, the Girard-Perregaux brand has always excelled at crafting beautiful watches that are made to last. This is reflected in the 1966 collection. Today, the watches are cut from white or pink gold in 38mm casings, remaining faithful to the original roots of the prestigious Swiss company. 807 diamonds are set into the watch in the brilliant cut, exposing meticulous car and master-level skill in gem-setting and metal work. The bezel work, the curved dial, and concentric placement of the gems give the watch an alluring, hypnotic effect.

Making use of leaf styled minute and hour hands coupled with four time-markers, the 1966 jewellery watch pays homage to old-fashioned watches meant for learned sophisticates. Completing the watch is an alligator-skin strap partnered with a gem-set ardillion buckle.

This sophisticated piece makes use of an automatic-winding mechanism using full mechanical movement, boasting a power reserve of over 46 hours. The back is crafted of fine sapphire crystal, allowing proud owners to view the working mechanism. The gold oscillating weight is engraved with the circular Côtes de Genève decoration. The calibre 3300, heir to over 220 years of watchmaking expertise, is renowned for its delicacy and reliability.
