Carmelo Anthony, Haute Time, IWC and Louis XIII Host “A Very Melo Evening”
This weekend Haute Time Co-Founder and NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony hosted “A Very Melo Evening”. On Saturday, October 26, Anthony teamed up with Haute Time, IWC Schaffhausen and Louis XIII for the special dinner, which benefitted The Carmelo Anthony Foundation.
“A Very Melo Evening”, which was hosted at LDV Hospitality’s American Cut flagship restaurant in Tribeca, raised thousands for the many different initiatives The Carmelo Anthony Foundation executes throughout the year (including “A Very Melo Giveback”, “A Very Melo Christmas” and “Courts 4 Kids”).
Some of the evening’s most generous contributions came from entrepreneur and philanthropist Stewart Rahr, who donated two basketball courts for Melo’s “Courts 4 Kids”, and IWC North America President Gianfranco D’Attis, who also donated a court.
Guests were treated to a 5-course meal that included steak, lobster, and salmon. The evening wrapped up with a special toast of 100-year-old Louis XIII cognac (although sadly Melo, whose New York Knicks are in season, could only pose with the glass and not drink any!). The toast was led by Yves de Launay, Vice President of Prestige Brands at Rémy Cointreau USA, who congratulated Melo on his charitable work and success.
Guests included NY Knicks GM Steve Mills, Knicks center Tyson Chandler, and Melo’s wife La La Anthony, who was front and center toasting his hard work.
