Jaeger-LeCoultre Celebrate Polo-Inspired Grande Reverso

Luxury watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre is marking its 180th anniversary this year, and in honor of that momentous achievement, we’re looking back at some of the manufacture’s most iconic designs. Today we’re taking a close-up look at the newest version of the Grande Reverso – the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Duoface for men and the Grande Reverso Lady Ultra Thin Duetto Duo for ladies.

The history of the Grande Reverso goes back to British Polo players in the Indian Army. The players needed a timepiece which could withstand the sport, leading Jaeger-LeCoultre to design the famous reversible case of the Grande Reverso in 1931. The design fit the stylish aesthetic of the sport while simultaneously protecting the dial and the glass of the timepiece.

Nearly a century later, the Grande Reverso is as innovative as ever, with two ultra-thin models featuring a dual time-zone display on their back, modelled here by Polo players and Jaeger-LeCoultre brand ambassadors Clare Milford Haven, Eduardo Novillo Astrada and Luke Tomlinson.
