Diane Kruger Helps Jaeger-LeCoultre Unveil Place Vendôme Flagship Boutique
On the eve of their 180th anniversary, luxury watchmakers Jaeger-LeCoultre have unveiled their brand new flagship in Paris’ Place Vendôme’s No. 7. The new space will house over 1,000 different calibres from the manufacture.
The space at Place Vendôme is a fitting tribute to the brand, with a discrete luxury and elegantly refined settings. The flagship is now the company’s largest retail boutique, where Jaeger-LeCoultre’s major horological inventions, miniaturisations and precision timepieces are on view.
The actress Diane Kruger, who is an ambassador for Jaeger-LeCoultre’s ladies’ line, joined company CEO Jérôme Lambert at a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the inauguration of the flaghip. Also present was Guillain Maspetiol, the company’s brand manager for France, as well as the iconic actress Catherine Deneuve, Carmen Chaplin, Vincent Perez, Isabelle Huppert, Olga Sorokina, José Luis Rebordinos, Marina Hands and famed model Inès de la Fressange.
The new boutique is intended to be a welcoming centre as well as retail space for timepiece connoisseurs, brand loyalists, and collectors. At the inauguration event, Jaeger-LeCoultre put rare pieces hardly ever seen by the public on display, including the world’s smallest mechanical movement, the Calibre 101.
Jaeger-LeCoultre also marked the occasion by unveiling a special limited edition timepiece called the Duomètre Unique Travel Time. This watch, of which only one hundred will be produced, features an image of the Earth on the dial, as well as the numbers 7 and 9 done in red, which pay tribute to the new boutique’s Parisian address. The 18K white gold Duomètre is the first worldtime chronograph which allows users adjust the time in the travel zone to the nearest minute.
