Linde Werdelin Unveil SpidoLite II Titanium Blue
Luxury watchmakers Linde Werdelin have unveiled the stunning new SpidoLite II Titanium Blue timepiece. This limited-edition model is one of three new pieces from the SpidoLite II series, which was originally launched in October 2011. Only 75 pieces of this timepiece will be produced.
The fully skeletonised case (a signature feature on the Swiss-made, Danish-designed watches manufactured by this company) and dial construction of the SpidoLite II Titanium Blue were inspired by the technical achievements of F1 racing cars. In a sport where millisecond counts, cars have been finely tuned to be as lightweight as possible while maintaining incredible power.
The SpidoLite was built in the same manner; crafted in titanium, it is lightweight yet robust, with two skeletonised layers. The first layer bears the Linde Werdelin logo, while the second upper layer is comprised of orange indexes and numerals of the seconds’ sub-dial at 9 o’clock, as well as the date function. The laser-cut date disk blends seamlessly with the dial and the blued steel hands.
True to its name, the chromatic dial of the SpidoLite II Titanium Blue is an electric blue, with orange details. The watch is driven by a custom Concepto-made LW 04 automatic movement caliber 2251. A special black rotor made by the company bears the LW logo. At the 3 o’clock the opening is widened, easing the access to the crown, while at 9 o’clock additional facets have been added to enhance the design. The inner movement can be glimpsed via the case back’s clear sapphire crystal.
A black textured calfskin strap with blue detailing and ardillon buckle complete the SpidoLite II Titanium Blue.
The SpidoLite II Titanium Blue retails for $11,064.23. For more information, please visit the Linde Werdelin website. Source and photos courtesy Linde Werdelin.
