Porsche Design Fêtes 40 Years with Historical Watches
Porsche Design, the company known for high end quality and luxurious good taste, is celebrating its 40th anniversary in business and is doing so in its customary sleek style; by offering a boxed set consisting of three of their historical watches.
The three watches in the opulent yet understated box set are those that made an impression on the history of the company. The reissue of the timepieces is to acknowledge the 40 years of design innovation that the company has enjoyed so far and will be certain to enjoy for at least another 40. Contemporary elements have been discreetly added to the classic watches, such as wider dials that timepiece collectors look for.
Featured are the Heritage P’6510 Black Chronograph, the first all-black watch on the market when it was introduced to consumers in 1972, the P’6520 Compass watch which, when introduced in 1978, was the world’s first compass-equipped timepiece, and the Heritage P’6530 Titan Chronograph of 1980, the first watch made with a meaningful amount of titanium.
Supply of the historical box set is extremely limited; only 100 sets will be available world-wide. The asking price for the three timepieces is set at €15,800, or approximately $20,203 US.
