Watch of the Week: Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph 5990/1R
Patek Philippe certainly needs no introduction and neither does its wildly popular Nautilus line. That said, it’s hard to grow tired of exploring the Natiulus Travel Time Chronograph Reference 5990/1.

While the Nautilus has become somewhat of a ubiquitous everyday watch in the past couple of years, do not let this easy-going vibe fool you, especially when it comes to the 5990/1R. This watch has the self-winding mechanical Caliber CH 28‑520 C FUS movement. While the view of the movement from the back of the case is enchanting, this timepiece is second to none in beauty from any angle.
This particular color-way is extremely elegant. The generous rose gold perfectly contrasts with the sunburst blue dial and features an embossed horizontal pattern along with applied hour-markers. The Nautilus 5990/1R’s hands are rose gold and come with a luminescent coating. This model offers an exceedingly interesting combination of sought-after features. The 5990/1R combines a self-winding flyback chronograph, an easy-to-use Travel Time function (dual time-zone), and a date display, coupled with local time.
When it comes to the rose gold crown, the model includes a screw-down crown with a sapphire case back. The 5990/1R is water-resistant up to 120m. The watch’s case diameter measures 40.5mm and is 12.53mm high.
The Patek Philippe Nautilus Time Travel Chronograph 5990/1R currently retails at $114,730. If you wish to learn more about this model or any of the other outstanding watches from the Patek Philippe family, be sure to visit the website, here.
